So, over at PNN , I update the geek section! Daily. And I really like doing it, because I get to read a lot.

This page contains articles about lots of tech trends, new media, strange things, helpful blog writing tips, and just other stuff that I think is cool. You may not think that any of these links are helpful, but really, when you need a new idea for a blog topic, sometimes you can find inspiration in the most unlikely places.

You know you have some time during your day to read some interesting stuff… so check ‘em out.

While updating the geek links for PNN, I stumbled upon an interesting/unusual post from ProBlogger.

This particular post was interesting to me for a few reasons:
1.	I love to exercise.
2.	It’s been so nice out, all I can think about is being outside.
3.	I do lots of work behind my wonderful MacBook.
4.	The language in this post is hilarious. (“Twitter tummy tone”- come on! That’s funny.) Using humor to attract readers is a great idea.
5.	It’s important to blog about things that interest you, because chances are, they interest lots of your readers as well! Just like how ProBlogger wants to encourage people to be fit- and blog at the same time!

So here I go… with my sign off stretches. Then for a nice run outside…

For those that read this blog post, thank you. It has been one month since I’ve been with Under the Power Lines and I am still excited about everything I have learned and will continue to learn while working with Wesley Donehue, Lauren Mancke and the rest of the UTPL team. Over the past month I have jumped into the world of political/web blog writing, Wordpress, Bluehost, website updates/creation, Geek links, video shooting, social media outlets, twittering, SCtweets, met some VIPs and much more. And before I forget, had fun as well. I am pumped to keep it up and add more knowledge to my repertoire.

Something I have noticed: is that my schedule is full. From the moment I get to work until the time I leave… I have something going on. Which, for me, is fantastic. I like to be busy and feel accomplished. Recently I discovered a nice little app called Deadline. It’s simple. Which is another good thing. You type in what you want to remember….a conference call, appointment, project due date through IM, email, RSS or iCal and it stores it for you and reminds you when its about to happen. A nice little place to keep the things you don’t want to forget. I also write everything down in a red notebook. So if you see I left that somewhere, please return it.

Something Wes taught me to love: Google Reader. This is a great place to get information to come to you. There are so many interesting reads on the web, that it would take you all day to find the headlines you really care about. And with your busy schedule, as mentioned above, who has time for that? Google Reader. Check it out.

Also, I’m gonna give a shout out. Sign up to receive PNN in your morning email or make sure to check out the website. It is a great source of information. Thanks to Wes again for waking up extra early to make sure we know what is going on.

Please keeping checking out the UTPL blog to see what cool new websites and videos are launching. Have a great weekend!
